Brief description

Queen Anne style side chair with undulating back, yoke crest rail, vasiform splat, trapezoid seat, cabriole legs, H stretchers. Plain stiles, tapering to crest. Vasiform splat with ogee base. Rear seat rail tenoned to posts, posts continue to feet, squared. Trapezoid seat, flattened side rails with rabbeted ledge interior for slip seat. Front skirt with central semi-circle flanked by ogee curves, tenoned and pegged to tops of legs. Cabriole legs, rounded knee, ogee brackets, terminating in full discs with raised pad feet. Rear stretcher higher than H stretcher. Stamped "J LANGDON" bottom of stay rail. IIII cut on inside of front seat rail. Replacement slip seat.
