Brief description

A canvaswork purse or pocketbook with pink calamanco lining. The purse is bound all around with red wool tape woven in a herringbone pattern. There are four interior pocket dividers with bow-shaped tops. The purse closes with a silver clasp in the form of a pointed oval with bright cut decoration (unmarked). All-over floral motifs are embroidered in fine worsted cross stitch; the motifs are polychrome florals on a mustard ground. The background is filled with tent stitch.
