Brief description

A canvaswork purse or pocketbook in the envelope style. The canvas is flamestitch or turkey-work embroidered in shades of red, yellow, green, purple, and black. Initials "E.S" are marked with an Algerian eye stitch. A second set of initials inside the purse are cross-stitched. The inside divider is bordered at the top with lavender silk ribbon cut with pinking shears. The purse is bound in green cotton tape and lined with green linen.
