Queen Anne side chair with vasiform splat and cabriole legs. Turned H sretchers. Back: undulating spooned back, posts taper to crest rail, crest rail yoke shaped with crested center, chamfered rear, tenoned to top posts, flat rear with chamfer, single vasiform splat, lipped S-scroll to shoe mortise, flush at rear, chamfered shoe to concave chamfer, nailed over seat rear rail, finish applied. Seat: trapezoidal shaped, rear rail tenoned to squared sections of rear posts, sides flattened arch cut-out, front bold S-scroll to inverted C drop, tenoned to legs, S-scrolled knee brackets nailed to leg tops glued to seat, inside edge rabbeted to receive seat frame, rear rounded screwed in blocks replaced, slip seat replaced. Legs: front legs slightly cabriole shaped rounded knees, flattened rear, descending to round pad feet, raised on discs, rear legs continuation of posts, squared section at seat, chamfered below seat on 4 sides, canted back to rear. Stretchers: single rear stretcher, cone tapers to side, double scribed on inside, 1/2 round, tapered round turned to central bulbous form, H-stretcher front lower than rear, cross-stretcher mimics rear except has no scribes or round turning, tenoned to squared section of side stretchers, side stretchers raked in to rear, 1/2 squared section, C-bottom, 1/2 round, tapered round turn with pronounced ring towards rear, front square section receives cross-stretcher, 1/2 round tapering to conical joint to cabriole leg. Diamond or square pegs at seat, knee, stretcher joints.
